Jamie Johnson

Hello and welcome to first grade!  My name is Jamie Johnson and I am honored to be your child’s teacher this year.  It looks to be an exciting year for all of us as we embark on new learning and new curriculum as well!  This year more than ever I will be sharing in learning new things with your child and I hope that you will play a vital role in all that we do here at school.

I have been teaching for 17 years, 12 of those years here at Pleasant Plains in first grade, and I can tell you I absolutely love it here!  I am originally from Long Island and came to Maryland for college at Towson University (or Towson State as it was called when I attended J).  Needless to say, my Pleasant Plains family has become my family away from home and I hope to help bring that sense of “family” to you and your child. I am a wife and a mother of three girls ages 16, 5,  and 3, so after a busy day at school I continue teaching at home!  I love dancing and singing, traveling, and spending time outdoors.

I look forward to meeting you and working together in our partnership to ensure your child’s academic success.  Thank you for your support!
